Its pretty common for everyone to hate their job. But have you ever wondered why?
I did too. Many times. It just didn’t seem right that every adult I knew hated the vast majority of their waking lives. For years, I struggled to come up with an answer until I came across Marx’s theory of alienation.
“Holy fuck!” I thought. “It finally makes sense.”
Despite hearing his name a lot in the news, Marx’s ideas are rarely discussed openly and honestly. I’d always learned that his ideas gave rise to a “failed” ideology, and therefore, not worth learning about.
Nothing changed my mind faster than actually read some Marx.
Now, I believe that not only is Marx worth studying, but he might be the most important thinker to study.
